Special Needs Child Care Leader
The Special Needs Child Care Leader works directly with all children in out-of-school time programs, providing specialized support to address social-emotional, health and safety, and behavioral needs. This role involves collaborating with Site Supervisors, Out-of-School Time Site Support Specialists, and the Inclusion Coordinator to implement inclusion modifications and accommodations while supporting individual student needs. The FT or PT position requires floating between sites as needed and backing up Site Supervisors when unavailable.
Your Role Will Include:
- Planning and leading activities and games for students with a focus on inclusion.
- Leading inclusion based initiatives.
- Taking attendance and communicating with parents during drop-off and pick-up.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and positive environment for our students.
- Serving as a coach and mentor for other program staff.
- Attending regular staff leadership meetings.
- Opening and closing program as needed.
Qualifications:
- One of the following;
- High school diploma with 120 hours of relevant training and one year of experience in a related field.
- Associates Degree with 6 months of experience in education, child care, recreation, special education, or related area.
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 months of experience in education, child care, recreation, special education, or related area.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- Pass a background check.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive pay at $24.58/hour.
- 12-month position. Option to increase hours during the summer and on non-school days

Location & Shift Times:
- Varies - All elementary buildings; specific location(s) will be assigned and may change based upon student and program needs.
- Start date: August 25, 2025.
- Full-time (split shift) and part-time (before or after school) opportunities available.
- Hours are Monday - Friday from approximately 6:15 am - 9:30 am (mornings) and 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm (afternoon). Hours vary by location.
