Summer Special Needs Child Care Worker
South Washington County Schools is looking for creative and collaborative individuals to join our Summer program! Our Child Care Inclusion Staff engage with all students, with a specific focus on children with additional needs and creating an inclusive environment. Your Role Will Include:
- Plan and lead activities and games for students with a focus on inclusion
- Lead inclusion based initiatives
- Take attendance and communicate with parents/guardians during drop-off and pick-up
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment for our students
- Serve as a coach and mentor for other program staff
- Attend regular staff leadership meetings
- Open and close program as needed
Qualifications:
- Some formal education experience is preferred but not required
- One of the following:
- High school diploma with 12 credits or 120 hours of relevant training and one year of experience in a related field;
- Associates Degree with 6 months of experience in a related field;
- Bachelors Degree with 3 months of experience in a related field
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive pay at $24.58/hour
Locations & Shift Times:
- Locations: Armstrong, Nuevas Fronteras, Valley Crossing & Woodbury Elementary
- Program Dates: June 8 - August 28. Must be available to work for the entire summer program, other than 5 unpaid days off
- Shifts: Monday through Friday, 6 to 8 hour shifts between 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
